
The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) is a 501 C6 not-for-profit association established in 2000 as a cooperative effort between the automotive service industry, the equipment and tool industry and automobile manufacturers (OEMs) to identify and resolve gaps in service information, tool information and training. In addition to acting as a liaison to automakers and repair technicians, NASTF also manages the Secure Data Release Model (SDRM) providing credentials to technicians and locksmiths who require access to security related automotive information and systems.
There is no cost to participate in NASTF, which is open to professional auto service technicians, shop owners, service writers, OEM service employees or any other automotive industry professional, and with over 45,000 members in the US and Canada, NASTF’s continued success is due in large part to its volunteer teams:

These teams are comprised of NASTF members from all areas of the automotive industry, working together to solve industry-wide problems and effectively communicate solutions. Vision: Driving a professional, well-resourced vehicle service industry by uniting competent and diverse teams to solve industry-wide problems and effectively communicate solutions.
